Professional stump grinding, tree stump removal, and surface root removal across Lafayette County. Nothing fancy. Just the work, done right and guaranteed.
This is the main thing we do. A tree gets cut down and you're left with a stump sticking out of your yard. We bring the grinder out, chew it down 6 to 8 inches below the surface, and fill the hole back in with the chips.
Takes about 30 minutes for a normal-sized stump. Big ones take longer — we've handled oak stumps over 4 feet across without any issues. Residential, commercial, farm, doesn't matter.
We charge by the stump size. Got a bunch of them? We'll work out a rate for the whole job.

6 to 8 inches below grade by default. If you're planting grass or laying sod on top, that's plenty. Need it deeper for a specific reason? Just ask.
Got large surface roots popping up across your yard making it hard to mow or turning into a tripping hazard? We trace the roots from the old stump and grind them down below the grade.
Often, older trees will spread roots far into the lawn. Rather than bringing in a backhoe and tearing up the turf, our specialized grinder walks over the lawn and mills the root directly into mulch.
Call us with the rough length of the exposed roots you need removed. We'll come look at it for free and tell you what it'll cost.

Because the grinder only targets the specific root veins, the disruption to the surrounding grass is extremely minimal.
When we grind a stump, it makes a pile of wood chips. Some people want those spread out as mulch around the yard. Others want every last chip hauled off. We do either one — you just tell us which.
If there are surface roots sticking up near where the stump was, we can grind those down too. The goal is for your yard to look like there was never a tree there.

Yes. Once we fill in the hole and rake the area flat, you can seed over it. The chip fill compacts down over a few weeks. Most people seed in the same season.
